Blue Creek Cellars

Blue Creek Cellars located in Paso Robles California has to be my favorite region in the United States.

To me, it surpasses Napa by far.  One of the wines we offer from Blue Creek is a 2005 blend with Cabernet, Merlot, Cab Franc, Malbec, and Petite Verdot.  To start 2005 was a wonderful year for these grapes.  Meaning the environment was perfect with the right amount of rain, and sun.  When you open this bottle and pour it, right away the color is just amazing.  Almost a brownish tone (which is what it should look like for a 2005)  Rich full bodied this wine goes well with just about anything, from grilled steak, hearty cheeses, and even dried figs.  I bring this along to many of my tasting when I can, and always get a great reaction from it.  Even from those who do not drink much wine.  It may be a bit robust, but it really is easy on the palate.  Please if you get a chance, try this wonderful wine.  You will not be disapointed.
