"Our Dawg WILL Bite"

Chili Dawg and Cheez Whiz!

I was conducting my third tasting for one of my favorite hosts.  We had been through all 7 of our wines and I have to say my jaw hurt from laughing!  Then my host pulls me into the kitchen, proceeds to give me another bottle to open to share with the guests.  She also handed me a can of Cheez Whiz..yes..cheese whiz...and gave me the instructions!

I had to squirt a little Cheez Whiz on every guests' finger, and pour them a "shot" of Chili Dawg.  All together, we ate our Cheez Whiz and drank our Chili Dawg! We all were supposed to be feeling like we were eating a Chili Dawg!  I must say it did taste a little like that(even though I am not normally a huge fan of chili dogs). Chili Dawg is an Apple and Chili Pepper Wine-it says so right on the label!  It came from the Peaks of Otter Winery in Bedford, Virginia.

What a fun way to end the evening...now how quickly can I convince Anton to add Chili Dawg to our list of exclusive wines????  This could be a tough sell..however, since they presented me with a bottle, I will be saving it for Anton's next visit so he can see for himself what a great addition it would be!  :)
